How can I completely remove the License Information from the PC?

If you want to completely remove ReSharper license information from PC, you need to remove following registry keys:

  • For ReSharper 9.x: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JetBrains\Shared\vAny" and "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-{some guid}\Software\JetBrains\Shared\vAny
  • For ReSharper prior 9.x: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JetBrains\ReSharper\<R# version>\<VS version>\LicenseSettings

Please make sure that you have all VS instances with ReSharper closed and ReSharper has been removed when doing this.

    This doesn't seem to work with Resharper 8. It still says my evaluation period has ended, and as such, the "edition" is greyed out, and I'm unable to change it to get a license from my licensing server.

    Yeah what a pain.... My trial license expired and I asked the company for an extension.  I have a new, valid license key but I cannot enter it anywhere.  I uninstalled Resharper and reinstalled, but still cannot use it.  I did delete the registry keys but that did not solve my issue.

    I sure would like to use this product!

    @ Jeannine, please open up Tools | Options | ReSharper dialog, and 'Resume' the ReSharper there. You'll be prompted to enter the License Key. Hope it helps.

    Thanks Alex!  As it turned out, there was a problem that existed between the keyboard and the chair.  All cleared up now.  :)

    I have set up a new computer and the trial was 8.2.1 and it has now expired. I am trying to enter a licence key but the edition option is set to full and can't be changed becasue it is disabled.

    @ Craiganthonyrichards, edition is selected automatically according to the License entered. So just make sure that you enter the key correctly.

    I have the same issue - I cannot change type as it's disabled - And I don't have a single license key and never had, I use corporate's license server. I'm getting error about not available tickets which is not true, I just need to change Edition... but it's permanently disabled.

    btw. my trial has expired

    OK, solved if you experience the same go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JetBrains\ReSharper<R# version><VS version> - and add String value - "Product Edition" value: "Csharp"
